Used in the application of a wide variety of loads and is used to transfer to each other. The products are conveyed on rolls placed at regular intervals on the conveyor frame. They are divided into two parts as driven and free-rolled, depending on the mode of operation.
Material handling in free roller conveyors is provided by the height difference, the first speeded system, human or machine thrust. In these conveyors, the force is applied directly to the load. The rolls rotate through the friction of the load making a translational motion along the conveyor bed.
In driven roller conveyors, the rolls are driven by the chain, which operates with the motor-reducer system and runs around the conveyor. Driven conveyor rollers are rotated around their axes by a motor. The movement is transmitted to the transported goods by friction.
